Yen Magazine Website Feature

This made me so happy!! A graduate collection I photographed at the end of 2013 got featured along with the designer's interview on the Yen Magazine Website :) - and some shots are soon to be on exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum this year as well, along side some of the dresses featured in the images. Officially quite proud of myself :)

Creazione - by Carina Catherine was a graduate collection from Whitehouse Institute I had a great pleasure of capturing out at Coogee Beach a few months back. These designs were beautiful and all inspired by Roman Mythology - I feel so greatful to be able to add this beautiful collection to my portfolio.

Katherine Dominique Designs

Over my college break at the end of 2013, I collaborated with a student designer from Whitehouse Institute -Katherine Dominique. Her collection was exceptional and I had such a pleasure in photographing her line and also working with an amazing team. I was quite pleased with how these came up.

Grimm; one upon a time...

I've been anticipating to showcase this for months now - but due to its release in FREQUE MAGAZINE I had to wait until after the issue was published for me to feature this collection online.

This coffin collection of images is one of the editorials to be featured in my major collection to be showcased in my graduate piece at the end of 2014 - 'Grimm; once upon a time...'

Each image depicts a different Fairytale character inspired by the original writings of The Grimm Brothers, Hans Christian Andersen and Lewis Carroll. I chose to base my characters around the original concepts as opposed to Disney's interpretation due to their realism and darker imagery. As much as I love Disney films, majority have strayed away from the original Fairytale to sugar coat it for its viewers - my intention, was to bring back the original themes, and introduce those who show appreciation in literature to the original collections and their stories.

Alice: Madness Returns

Over the weekend just gone I conducted a shoot based around American McGee's game Alice: Madness Returns. The photographs were captured within building ward 210 at Rozelle Mental Asylum which closed down many years ago. The location was exceptional and had a rather creepy atmosphere. Each room completely dead silent. Even the graffiti on some of the walls assisted in the set up for a few of the shots.

Quite a bit of photoshop was used on a selection of the images to recreate the concept of 'Wonderland' - the use of chess boards and card decks was to create a mixed reality and fantasy concept.
